My hopes are medium-low.

The biggest film adaptation news of the week has arrived: according to THR, Netflix is making a TV series version of Neil Gaiman's Sandman, and apparently money is no object (well... not much of an object; let's be realistic). They've ordered an 11-episode season, Gaiman will be heavily involved, and sources are describing it as "the most expensive TV series that DC Entertainment has ever done". I don't think Gaiman's work has ever adapted particularly well to the screen (it's too finicky), but vast sums of money have a way of solving problems.
