Aaaand in further movie news...

Huh. Apparently, Richard Linklater's film version of Eric Schlosser's excellent book Fast Food Nation is debuting at Cannes this year.

Now, don't get me wrong here, but what? This isn't going to be a documentary. Variety is describing it as a "fictionalized thriller" starring Ethan Hawke, based on Schlosser's best-selling nonfiction book.

Um, okay.

All I'm sayin' is--if this movie decides to show us a Hollywood-ized version of the chapter about meat packing plants? There is NO CHANCE IN HELL of me going to see it.
