They have deadlines to meet, too

According to the website Celebitchy, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have purchased the rights to Carley Fortune’s romantic melodrama Meet Me at the Lake, which they intend to turn in to a movie for Netflix. There are a bunch of articles breathlessly making comparisons between the fictional plot and Harry and Meghan's actual lives (one character lost a parent in a car crash! The story is set in Toronto! Etc., etc.), but I suspect it might be as simple as Meghan read the book and thought: This is juicy. Someone should make a movie version!
