PIGOONS!

Variety informs me that a TV series adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s MaddAddam trilogy is in the works at Paramount Television and Anonymous Content. This isn't the first attempt at adapting this material (Darren Aronofsky was previously working on an adaptation of the novels for HBO—thankfully we've been spared that), but between The Handmaid's Tale and Alias Grace, the demand for Atwood's work has never been higher. I find Atwood's books deeply creepifying, but I am hopeful that the pigoons play a large role, because the idea of carnivorous, trap-laying, pig-pigeon hybrids sounds awesome. Hopefully they would give me credit for being a vegetarian...
