Farewell, Ms. Grafton

I was very sorry to hear of the death of mystery/suspense writer Sue Grafton, who died last week at age 77 after a two-year-long battle with cancer. According to her family, Ms. Grafton did not wish for her books to be made into movie or TV adaptations, and would absolutely not approve of a ghostwriter finishing her long-running A is for Alibi series. This means her final book will be Y is for Yesterday. It's been quite some time since I've read one of Ms. Grafton's books, but I'm still a little chagrined that we'll never know the word she would have chosen for her "Z" installment.
