I'm gonna miss The Toast.

In one of the last posts on The Toast, author Lindsey Palka compiled a list of "Things Lucy Maud Montgomery Lied To Me About". This was my favorite part:

"That it would be impossibly romantic to live on a small island in the middle of a lake, rather than just incredibly inconvenient when I would run out of eggs or Scotch tape or aluminum foil."

I appreciate any reference to my beloved The Blue Castle, and—because I'm even more unromantic than Ms. Palka—I remember feeling real concern about bathroom arrangements on that island.
