...but why are they still in high school?

Viz Media is releasing the first volume of Vampire Knight, Matsuri Hino's beautiful, profoundly silly shojo manga about a high school that caters to both human and vampire students. (Seriously--what are the vampires studying? Most of them have been teenagers for decades! I hate to break it to you, but if they haven't learned calculus by now, they're not gonna.) This manga will be out on Tuesday, but you can read an online preview here.

Are you sure you read it? Nowhere does it say the vampires are decades old. And they've been developing "blood pills" (they must've at least passed chemistry).

I had an easy time suspending my disbelief and I really enjoyed the book, unlike your review, which is inaccurate and glib.

"Inaccurate and glib" have been known to describe me, but I'm not sure that's fair here. I'm only familiar with the scanlations of this series, but doesn't the main vampire guy have to be AT LEAST a decade old? (He was big enough to save the heroine when she was a child, right?) And there are later references in the series to incidents that happened between the vampire characters when the heroine and that Zero guy were children. Don't get me wrong--I liked this series, but I still think it's a lot prettier than it is thoughtful. But yeah, I'm pretty sure that I read it....
