This is great: according to CBS News, the East Los Angeles Library allows their young patrons to pay their overdue fees by reading. If you're 21 or younger, you can "read away" your late fees at at rate of $5 an hour. It's a new program called "The Great Read Away", and since its launch the library system has logged more than 50,000 reading sessions and reinstated more than 13,000 previously blocked accounts.
